For this show, the director requested the first Read/Sing through be recorded. This was accomplished by setting up an omnidirectional mic that could reach the actors when in range, as well as micing the piano. Eli then went on to record a number of other sound effects for the show, including hitting an eggplant & acorn squash together. This was to emphasize Mushnik knocking on Audrey II. Eli also created and recorded their own thunder utilizing a thunder-sheet that was shaken to keep in line with the campy feel of the show. These recordings were then edited to create a musical type of thunder.
