The golden rule of live radio is no dead air. This became Eli's goal for the show. In order to create an oversaturated world of consumerism, rapid news response, and talk, Eli recorded intros for the characters, the last of the callers, and even some ads. Radio ads from 1987 were also used for authenticity in addition to the sounds Eli put together and the inclusion of fully functional microphones and headphones on stage.
